Eden FR Blackout Roller Blind Fabric by the Metre – 200cm Wide
Eden is a premium flame-retardant blackout roller blind fabric, supplied by the continuous metre and available in an extensive choice of 30 contemporary colours.
Designed for rooms where strong light control and privacy are required, Eden combines excellent blackout performance with a colour-matched acrylic foam backing. Unlike many blackout fabrics with a contrasting white reverse, the standard Eden fabric has a backing designed to coordinate with the face colour, helping create a more consistent appearance.
With colours ranging from whites, creams and natural shades through to greys, blues, greens, pinks and stronger feature colours, Eden is particularly useful where a flame-retardant blackout fabric is required without being restricted to a small neutral colour palette.
Eden is flame retardant to BS 5867 Part 2 Type B and DIN 4102 B1, moisture resistant and colour fast. Its combination of blackout performance, durability and extensive colour choice makes it suitable for domestic, commercial and contract applications.
This listing is for the 200cm wide fabric. Eden is also available in 250cm and 300cm widths for larger blinds and extra-wide applications.

Ordering Your Fabric
Eden fabric is sold by the linear metre with a minimum order of 2 metres.
The fabric is 200cm wide, so the quantity selected determines the continuous length supplied:
Quantity 2 = 200cm long × 200cm wide
Quantity 3 = 300cm long × 200cm wide
Quantity 4 = 400cm long × 200cm wide
Wherever possible, your order will be supplied as one continuous length.
For example, ordering a quantity of 3 provides a piece approximately 300cm long × 200cm wide, rather than three separate one-metre pieces.
How Much Fabric Do I Need?
When replacing the fabric on an existing roller blind, don't order fabric equal to the exact finished drop.
Additional material is required to wrap around the roller tube and to form or attach the bottom-bar pocket. We recommend allowing approximately 30cm extra beyond the required finished blind drop.
For example:
Finished blind drop: 150cmRecommended fabric length: approximately 180cm Order quantity: 2 metres
If you're unsure how much material you need, please contact us before ordering and we'll be happy to help.
Making More Than One Blind?
Because Eden is supplied at a full 200cm width, it may be possible to cut two or more roller blind covers side-by-side from the same length of fabric, depending on the widths of your blinds.
This can make buying fabric by the metre particularly economical when replacing several blinds.
Give us the finished widths and drops of your blinds and we can help work out the most economical cutting layout before you order.
Why Choose Eden FR Blackout Fabric?
Eden is particularly useful when you need blackout performance, flame retardancy and considerably more colour choice than is normally available from an FR blackout fabric.
Its 30-colour range provides much greater design flexibility than a small neutral collection, making Eden suitable for everything from bedrooms and home interiors to offices, schools, hospitality and other commercial environments.
The colour-matched acrylic foam backing is another useful feature. Rather than treating blackout purely as a functional fabric, Eden provides blackout performance while retaining a coordinated appearance.
For customers who need FR blackout fabric but only require one of the principal neutral shades, our Signature FR Blackout Roller Blind Fabric provides a more economical alternative.
FR Blackout or FR Daylight Fabric?
Choose Eden FR Blackout when you want:
Maximum privacy
Strong control of incoming daylight
A darker room when the blind is closed
Flame-retardant performance
A broad choice of colours
Choose an FR daylight fabric when you want privacy and light filtering while still allowing more natural daylight into the room.
For a similarly extensive colour range without blackout, see our Thames FR Daylight Roller Blind Fabric.
For a more economical FR blackout option in five neutral colours, see our Signature FR Blackout Roller Blind Fabric.
One small qualification I'd retain somewhere in our blackout wording: the fabric itself is blackout, but a roller blind installation can still admit light around the sides and top. That avoids implying that an ordinary roller blind creates complete room darkness.
Choosing Your Colour
Eden is available in 30 colours, ranging from whites and neutral shades through to greys, blues, greens, reds, pinks and stronger contemporary colours.
Images displayed online are intended as a colour guide only. Screen settings, lighting and photography can all affect how a fabric colour appears.
We strongly recommend ordering a physical fabric swatch before purchasing larger quantities, particularly where an exact colour match is important.
Up to 4 fabric swatches are available for £3.95, with the sample cost redeemable against a qualifying subsequent roller blind fabric order.

Cut-to-Length Fabric & Returns
Please check your required quantity and colour carefully before ordering. Roller blind fabric is cut from the roll specifically to the length ordered and, once cut, cannot normally be returned or exchanged because the wrong quantity or colour has been selected, or because you have changed your mind. Colours can appear differently on screens, so we strongly recommend ordering a fabric swatch before purchasing, particularly where colour matching is important. This does not affect your statutory rights if the fabric is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
