Motorise an Existing Roller Blind
Motorisation doesn’t necessarily mean replacing your complete blind. Many existing roller blinds can be upgraded by replacing the manual chain or spring mechanism with a compatible rechargeable tubular motor.
Our Stelor, Cruze and Raex motorisation systems offer different options depending on your existing roller blind tube and the type of control you require.
Stelor 32mm provides straightforward remote-controlled motorisation with USB-C charging and optional solar charging.
Cruze 32mm and 40mm motors use Somfy RTS radio technology, with optional Somfy Connectivity Kit integration for compatible app and voice-assistant control.
Raex TQL25 38/40mm provides a powerful and flexible 1.2Nm system with a choice of remote and timer controls, plus optional Smart Life Wi-Fi and solar charging.
Choosing the Right Motor
Check the diameter of your existing roller blind tube before ordering. Motor and fitting compatibility depends on the roller blind system, tube size and the size and weight of the blind.
Stelor SR22 32mm – 0.5Nm: Designed for compatible 32mm roller blind tubes. A straightforward rechargeable option with USB-C charging, quiet operation, remote control and optional solar charging.
Cruze 32mm – 0.55Nm: Designed for compatible industry-standard 32mm roller blind tubes, powering blinds up to 4m². Choose Cruze where Somfy RTS compatibility and optional smart control are important.
Cruze 40mm – 1.1Nm: Designed for compatible 40mm roller blind tubes, powering blinds up to 8m². The higher-torque Cruze option for larger compatible roller blinds.
Raex TQL25 38/40mm – 1.2Nm: A rechargeable motor for compatible 38/40mm systems and the highest-torque option in this range. Available with multi-channel or timer remotes, optional Smart Life Wi-Fi control and solar charging.
Which Motorisation System Should I Choose?
Choose Stelor if you want simple remote-controlled motorisation for a compatible 32mm roller blind, with USB-C charging and optional solar charging.
Choose Cruze if you want Somfy RTS compatibility and the option of app and compatible voice-assistant control through the Somfy Connectivity Kit. Available for compatible 32mm and 40mm systems.
Choose Raex if you want a 1.2Nm rechargeable 38/40mm system with a particularly wide choice of controls, including multi-channel remotes, timer control, Smart Life Wi-Fi and optional solar charging.
