Roe is a high-performance screen roller blind fabric supplied by the continuous linear metre, ideal for replacing existing roller blind fabric or making your own blinds where solar control, glare reduction and outward visibility are important.

Available in a choice of 1% or 3% openness, Roe's specialist woven construction helps control incoming sunlight and glare while retaining a degree of visibility through the blind.

This makes it particularly useful for offices, home offices, computer and screen environments, conservatories and sunny rooms, as well as other domestic and commercial applications where controlling bright sunlight without completely closing off the view is desirable.

This listing is for the 200cm wide Roe fabric, available in four colours:

White, Light Grey, Mid Grey and Dark Grey.

For larger projects, separate 250cm and 300cm wide Roe fabrics are also available.

Choosing 1% or 3% Openness

The openness factor describes the proportion of open space within the screen fabric weave.

1% openness has a tighter weave, providing greater screening and solar/glare control with less visibility through the fabric.

3% openness allows more light through and provides greater outward visibility while still helping to control glare and solar heat.

Ordering Your Fabric

Fabric is sold by the continuous linear metre with a minimum order of 2 metres.

Choose your 1% or 3% openness, select your colour and then the number of metres required.

Multiple metres will be supplied as one continuous length wherever possible.

How Much Fabric Do I Need?

When replacing an existing roller blind cover, allow approximately 30cm extra beyond the finished blind drop for the bottom finish and sufficient fabric to remain wrapped around the roller tube.

For example, a 150cm finished drop would normally require approximately 180cm of fabric, so you would order 2 metres.

Making More Than One Blind?

The full 200cm fabric width can make Roe particularly economical when replacing several narrower blinds.

Depending on the required widths, it may be possible to cut two covers side-by-side from the same piece of fabric.

What Is Screen Roller Blind Fabric?

Unlike conventional daylight or blackout material, screen fabric contains tiny openings within its woven construction. These allow some light and visibility through the blind while helping to reduce glare and solar gain.

Roe is particularly useful on windows receiving strong sunlight and in rooms containing televisions or computer monitors.

It should not be confused with blackout fabric. Roe is designed to manage light and solar performance while retaining some connection with the view outside, rather than completely excluding light.

Choosing Your Colour

The 200cm Roe fabric is available in:

White, Light Grey, Mid Grey and Dark Grey.

Screen settings and lighting can affect how colours appear, while both colour and openness factor can affect the appearance and view through screen fabric.

We therefore recommend ordering a physical sample where colour or openness is important.

Fabric samples are free – simply pay the postage, which is refundable against your subsequent fabric order.

Cut-to-Length Fabric & Returns

Please check your required quantity, openness and colour carefully before ordering. Fabric is cut from the roll specifically to the length ordered and, once cut, cannot normally be returned or exchanged because the wrong quantity, openness or colour has been selected, or because you have changed your mind.

This does not affect your statutory rights if the fabric is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
