Roe 1% & 3% Screen Roller Blind Fabric by the Metre – 200cm Wide
High-performance screen roller blind fabric supplied by the continuous linear metre, ideal for replacing existing roller blind fabric, making your own roller blind, or creating blinds where solar control, glare reduction and outward visibility are important.
Roe is a specialist woven screen fabric available in a choice of 1% or 3% openness. Unlike conventional daylight or blackout fabric, the open-weave construction helps control incoming sunlight and glare while retaining a degree of visibility through the blind.
This makes Roe particularly useful for offices, home offices, computer and screen environments, conservatories and sunny rooms, as well as other domestic and commercial applications where controlling bright sunlight without completely closing off the view is desirable.
At 200cm wide, Roe is available in seven contemporary colours: White, Beige, Light Grey, Mid Grey, Dark Grey, Bronze and Charcoal.
For larger blinds, Roe is also available as separate 250cm and 300cm wide products.

Choosing 1% or 3% Openness
The openness factor describes the proportion of open space within the screen fabric weave.
1% openness has a tighter weave. It provides greater screening and solar/glare control, with less visibility through the fabric.
3% openness has a slightly more open weave. It allows more light through and provides greater outward visibility while still helping to control glare and solar heat.
The best choice will depend on the amount of sunlight, the level of screening required and how important maintaining a view through the blind is to you.
If you're unsure whether 1% or 3% would be more suitable for your window, please contact us before ordering.
Ordering Your Fabric
Fabric is sold by the linear metre with a minimum order of 2 metres.
Simply choose your 1% or 3% openness, select your colour and then select the number of metres required.
For example:
Quantity 2 = 200cm long × 200cm wide
Quantity 3 = 300cm long × 200cm wide
Quantity 4 = 400cm long × 200cm wide
Multiple metres will be supplied as one continuous length wherever possible.
How Much Fabric Do I Need?
When replacing the fabric on an existing roller blind, don't order fabric equal to the finished blind drop.
As a general guide, we recommend allowing approximately 30cm extra beyond the finished blind drop. This provides material for the bottom finish and allows sufficient fabric to remain wrapped around the roller tube when the blind is fully lowered.
For example, a blind with a finished drop of 150cm would normally require approximately 180cm of fabric, meaning a 2-metre order would be appropriate.
Making More Than One Blind?
The full 200cm fabric width can make this particularly economical when replacing or making several narrower blinds.
Depending on the widths required, it may be possible to cut two blind covers side-by-side from the same width of fabric. For example, two blinds around 90cm wide may potentially be cut from a single 200cm width, subject to the required cutting and finishing allowances.
If you're making several blinds, please feel free to contact us before ordering. We can help you consider the most economical way of using the fabric.
What Is Screen Roller Blind Fabric?
Screen fabric works differently from conventional daylight and blackout roller blind fabrics.
Its woven construction contains tiny openings that allow some light and visibility through the blind while helping to reduce glare and solar gain.
This makes screen fabric particularly useful on windows receiving strong sunlight and in rooms containing televisions or computer monitors, where glare can be a problem.
Screen fabric should not be confused with blackout fabric. Roe is designed to manage light and solar performance while retaining some connection with the view outside — not to completely exclude light.
For greater privacy without the screen effect, see our Daylight Roller Blind Fabrics. For greater light exclusion, choose one of our Blackout Roller Blind Fabrics.
Choosing Your Colour
Roe is available in:
White, Beige, Light Grey, Mid Grey, Dark Grey, Bronze and Charcoal.
Please remember that colours displayed online are for guidance only. Scanning, photography, lighting and individual phone, tablet and monitor settings can significantly affect how a fabric colour appears on screen.
With screen fabric, both the colour and openness factor can also affect its appearance and the view through the blind.
If the exact colour, texture or degree of openness is important, we strongly recommend ordering a physical fabric swatch before purchasing your fabric.
Up to 4 fabric swatches are available for £3.95, with the sample cost redeemable against a qualifying subsequent roller blind fabric order.

Cut-to-Length Fabric & Returns
Please check your required quantity and colour carefully before ordering. Roller blind fabric is cut from the roll specifically to the length ordered and, once cut, cannot normally be returned or exchanged because the wrong quantity or colour has been selected, or because you have changed your mind. Colours can appear differently on screens, so we strongly recommend ordering a fabric swatch before purchasing, particularly where colour matching is important. This does not affect your statutory rights if the fabric is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
