Thames FR Daylight Roller Blind Fabric by the Metre – 200cm Wide
Thames FR Daylight Roller Blind Fabric by the Metre – 200cm Wide
Thames is a high-quality flame-retardant daylight roller blind fabric, supplied by the continuous metre and available in an exceptional choice of 40 contemporary colours.
Designed to provide privacy while still allowing natural daylight into the room, Thames has a woven, subtly textured appearance that makes it suitable for both domestic and commercial interiors. Unlike blackout fabric, it filters and softens incoming light rather than completely blocking it.
The extensive colour palette is one of the major advantages of Thames, ranging from soft whites, creams and greys through to blues, greens, pinks, reds and stronger contemporary shades. This makes it particularly useful where a flame-retardant fabric is required but a wider choice than the usual neutral commercial colours is wanted.
Thames is flame retardant to BS 5867 Part 2 Type B, moisture resistant and incorporates Biosafe® antibacterial technology. It is also IMO certified, making it suitable for a particularly broad range of domestic, commercial and contract applications.
This listing is for the 200cm wide fabric. Thames is also available in 250cm and 300cm widths for larger blinds and extra-wide applications.

Ordering Your Fabric
Thames fabric is sold by the linear metre with a minimum order of 2 metres.
The fabric is 200cm wide, so the quantity selected determines the continuous length supplied:
Quantity 2 = 200cm long × 200cm wide
Quantity 3 = 300cm long × 200cm wide
Quantity 4 = 400cm long × 200cm wide
Wherever possible, your order will be supplied as one continuous length.
For example, ordering a quantity of 3 provides a piece approximately 300cm long × 200cm wide, rather than three separate one-metre pieces.
How Much Fabric Do I Need?
When replacing the fabric on an existing roller blind, don't order fabric equal to the exact finished drop of the blind.
You will need additional material to wrap around the roller tube and to form or attach the bottom-bar pocket. We recommend allowing approximately 30cm extra beyond the required finished blind drop.
For example:
Finished blind drop: 150cmRecommended fabric length: approximately 180cmOrder quantity: 2 metres
If you're unsure how much material you need, please contact us before ordering and we'll be happy to help.
Making More Than One Blind?
Because Thames is supplied at a full 200cm width, it may be possible to cut two or more roller blind covers side-by-side from the same length of fabric, depending on the widths of your blinds.
This can make buying fabric by the metre particularly economical when replacing several blinds.
If you give us the finished widths and drops of your blinds, we can help work out the most economical cutting layout before you order.
Why Choose Thames FR Daylight Fabric?
Thames is particularly useful where flame retardancy and a broad colour choice are both important.
Many FR roller blind fabrics concentrate on a relatively small selection of whites, creams and greys. Thames offers 40 colours, making it much easier to coordinate the fabric with existing décor or introduce stronger colours while retaining the required flame-retardant specification.
The fabric also incorporates Biosafe® antibacterial technology and is moisture resistant, adding to its suitability for offices, schools, healthcare environments, hospitality settings and other commercial interiors.
It is equally suitable for domestic customers who simply want a high-quality FR daylight fabric with considerably more colour choice.
FR Daylight or FR Blackout Fabric?
Choose Thames FR Daylight when you want:
Natural daylight to continue entering the room
Privacy and light filtering
A softer, brighter interior
A particularly wide choice of colours
Choose an FR blackout fabric when substantially blocking incoming light is the priority, such as bedrooms, presentation rooms or other areas requiring greater light control.
For customers wanting blackout performance with a similarly extensive colour range, our Eden FR Blackout Roller Blind Fabric is the natural alternative.
For a more economical FR daylight option in a smaller range of neutral colours, see our Signature FR Daylight Roller Blind Fabric.
Choosing Your Colour
Thames is available in 40 colours, covering neutrals, greys, blues, greens, reds, pinks and other contemporary shades.
Images displayed online are intended as a colour guide only. Screen settings, lighting and photography can all affect how a fabric colour appears.
We therefore strongly recommend ordering a physical fabric swatch before purchasing larger quantities, particularly where an exact colour match is important.
Up to 4 fabric swatches are available for £3.95, with the sample cost redeemable against a qualifying subsequent roller blind fabric order.

Cut-to-Length Fabric & Returns
Please check your required quantity and colour carefully before ordering. Roller blind fabric is cut from the roll specifically to the length ordered and, once cut, cannot normally be returned or exchanged because the wrong quantity or colour has been selected, or because you have changed your mind. Colours can appear differently on screens, so we strongly recommend ordering a fabric swatch before purchasing, particularly where colour matching is important. This does not affect your statutory rights if the fabric is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
