Blackout Roller Blind Fabrics
Blackout Roller Blind Fabric by the Metre
Blackout roller blind fabric is ideal where increased privacy and light control are important, making it a popular choice for bedrooms, nurseries, home offices and other rooms where reducing incoming light is desirable.
Our fabrics are supplied by the linear metre and can be used to replace worn or outdated fabric on an existing roller blind or to make your own blind while reusing suitable components.
What Is Blackout Roller Blind Fabric?
Blackout fabric incorporates a backing or construction designed to prevent light passing directly through the material.
Please remember that while the fabric itself provides blackout properties, a standard roller blind may still allow some light around the sides, top and bottom of the blind. The finished installation should therefore not be expected to provide complete room blackout.
Extra-Wide Blackout Roller Blind Fabric
Selected blackout fabrics are available in wider widths for larger windows and specialist projects.
Extra-wide material can also be useful when making several smaller roller blind covers, as multiple covers may be cut from across the width of the fabric where their dimensions allow.
Check each individual product for available fabric widths, colours and specifications.
Need Your Fabric Cut to Size?
Purchase your blackout roller blind fabric by the metre and cut it yourself, or use our professional Roller Blind Fabric Cut-to-Size Service.
We'll contact you personally before cutting to discuss your project and confirm the required dimensions. Reduced cutting rates are available when preparing multiple covers.
For customers wanting a traditional sewn bottom pocket, our separate Cut & Hem Service is also available.
Samples & Help
Fabric samples are available so you can compare colours and finishes in your own room before ordering.
If you're unsure which blackout fabric to choose, how much material you'll need or what dimensions are required when recovering an existing roller blind, contact Blind Parts Hub and we'll be happy to help.
